Acupuncture – Hojung Suh (April)
Acupuncture is a been practiced for thousands of years. It can be traced back as far as the Stone Age in China, when stone knives and pointed rocks were used to relieve pain and disease. Since gaining in popularity in the West, acupuncture is a treatment often used to treat a variety of heath related conditions. Acupuncture is based on TCM theories of the flow of energy & blood through a system of channels in the body. Diseases are treated by needling specialized points on the body to activate energy to where it is deficient, and drains it from where there is an excess. Acupuncture regulates and restores harmonious balance within the body.
Treatments aim to improve overall well-being as well as the symptoms of certain conditions. People often find that acupuncture can lead to increased energy levels, better sleep and a sense of good health, as well as helping their specific problem.
